Ian Baker is an experienced professional with nearly 20 years of expertise in taxation and accounting. He kick-started his career at HM Revenue & Customs as an HM Inspector of Taxes, where he conducted thorough investigations into various businesses.

After successfully completing his training, Ian decided to further expand his knowledge and skill set by joining one of Birmingham's largest independent accountancy practices. During his time there, he underwent additional training and became an Associate of Taxation Technicians. Ian's work encompasses a wide spectrum, ranging from straightforward tax compliance checks to intricate investigations spanning multiple businesses and tax years. His area of specialisation lies in effectively communicating and collaborating with HMRC to ensure favourable resolutions for all parties involved.

Currently, Ian serves as a consultant of HMRC compliance and Investigations at Everest and Co, working closely with the tax department to deliver unparalleled services to clients. He employs his extensive experience and expertise to provide top-notch solutions tailored to each client's unique needs.

Outside of work, Ian indulges in his passions for reading, traveling, and cooking. He particularly enjoys exploring and experimenting with diverse cuisines from around the world.
